It seems like every weekend this summer my friends, clients, myself included, say okay, it’s Sunday night, time to hit the reset button for the week. I eat well and exercise almost all week long, and then the weekend is a free for all. Trips to the lake, bachelorette parties, concerts, birthdays, weddings, travel, just grabbing a burger and beers outside with friends…and then grabbing ice cream. It’s been the summer of yes, and it’s catching up with my body! Sound familiar?

We are going to NYC over Labor Day weekend, and then this summer of yes is officially over haha! It’s really time for me to get refocused on hitting my macros more consistently, and just making overall better choices…less alcohol, more veggies, etc.

So who is with me? I just keep thinking that the holidays are going to be here before we know it, and that can be a hard enough time on the diet. I don’t want to be going into the holidays already behind!

If you are a Macros Lab client and are interested in doing a refocus, or if you want to give macros a try, I am currently full, but will have about 3 openings starting after September 5th. Just let me know and I can email you information and get you on the list. Or if you want to start sooner, I can match you up with another amazing Macros Lab coach. Did you know if you are a current/past Macros Lab client who wants to work with your coach for a month refocus you can do so for just $55?

Or maybe you have no interest in tracking macros but want to hit the reset button on your eating, you can still join me in doing so this September. You can easily start by staying away from processed foods, alcohol, sweets, etc. and you can start adding in plenty of lean protein, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Download the My Fitness Pal app and challenge yourself to track what you eat, even for just a week. It can be very eye-opening and educational, and help you make better choices in the future.

Get moving, and make your workouts a priority. I signed up for a CrossFit competition in October to help keep me motivated. I don’t want to let my teammates down! Having a goal with a timeline really helps to keep you on track. Sign up for a 5k, a CrossFit competition, a triathlon, a charity walk, etc. It’s great to have an event a few months out so can train and can see your hard work pay off.

I’ll continue to share recipes, motivation, and shopping lists along the way. Now is a good time to take some progress pictures, I suggest doing this every two weeks. Weigh yourself, take some measurements, or go get an Inbody test. (If you live in the Indy area you can book one with Lexi here.) It’s always so motivating to look back where you started and how far you have come in just 4 weeks, 8 weeks, or more. So who is with me on this reset?
