Whoa, we’re half way there!! 20 weeks in! Most days I feel pretty good, just tired, and tend to sneak in an afternoon nap when Jaxon does : )

Since I lasted updated you all, we’ve had quite a busy, but fun summer. Father’s Day, two weekends up at the lake, family in town, my dad’s birthday, concert nights, 4th of July, the zoo, etc. We’ve also been able to sneak in some date nights, double date nights, and girls nights out too!

     

 

How far along?  20 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 8lbs (128lbs)
Maternity clothes? Not yet! (but way bigger belly already this time around!)
Sleep: Sleeping through the night
Best moments: Having a fun summer with Jaxon and Ryan! Knowing this is the last summer as a family of three, makes me say “Yes” to a lot more, and it’s been a blast!
Miss Anything? A glass of champagne during dinners out.
Movement: Yes!
Food cravings: Was a turkey sub from Subway with all the veggies, but I’m over it now!
Workouts: Most days they don’t feel great. I have been doing Beats classes at Three Kings 3-4 times a week and then usually lifting at the YMCA once a week. Running has come to a complete end, to much pressure and cramping.
Macros: I have been hitting my macros for the most part, however I haven’t been the best at tracking, especially on the weekends. More using MFP to look up meals if we are eating out, etc. Also I tend to eat a lot of the same foods and know about what I am getting each meal. I am trying to stick to the 80/20 rule as well, with fresh fruit, veggies, lean protein, whole grains, real foods 80% of the time, and if I want to indulge every now and then I do!

I wanted to share a workout I have been doing when I go to the YMCA and am not doing a Beats or CrossFit style workout. Give it a try : )

A. 20 minute walk on the treadmill – walk at an incline and every 2 minutes, get off and do 10 goblet squats. (incline from 5 – 10, and speed from 3 – 3.7, 35lb kettlebell for the squats) End up walking over a mile and doing 100 squats.

B. 10 lunge steps/leg (dbs at side)

10 strict press

10 snatches

*All with 20lb dumbbells

C. 10 incline bench (I used 60lbs)

10 tricep dips

D. 40 step back lunges with 35lb barbell back racked

E. Plank with 40 dumbbell pull across

 

We have our “20 week” appointment next week, and I can’t wait to see how much she has grown on the ultrasound. Also, Jaxon has changed her name from “Suzie” to “Maddy”. Ryan and I still haven’t decided on a name, and are open to suggestions : )
