Being pregnant, I sometimes have weird cravings, and more than likely they are pretty unhealthy. I don’t think this has to be a pregnancy thing many of you in the evening are like “I really need something sweet!”? I thought it would be fun to share some of my “kravings” and some healthier alternatives to satisfy them.


Chocolate Cake or Brownies

Try this instead:

Double Chocolate Mighty Muffin (the best part is they are warm and gooey!)

220 calories: 21g carbs, 8g fat, 20g protein


Ice Cream

Try this instead:

Milton’s Cauliflower Crust Pizza (from Costco)

460 calories: 54g carbs, 16g fat, 24g protein (add grilled chicken for more protein)


A Big Bowl of Pasta

Try this instead:

597 calories: 55g carbs, 20g fat, 52g protein


Hamburger & Fries

Try this instead:

I hope some of these healthier alternatives will help satisfy your cravings, but at the same time keep you on track with your macros and/or overall health and nutrition. Most of the alternatives are not only lower in overall calories, saturated fats, etc. but include more vitamins, nutrients and higher amounts of fiber.
