With everything going on in the world right now, we are really trying to stay home, which means limiting my every other day grocery runs, to every 7-10 days. The last few weeks I’ve flown in and out of the grocery store, quickly picking up foods we like. The only problem is, towards the end of the week, we have a bunch of random ingredients left that don’t really go together to make a meal. Then things go bad, get thrown out, and I order caryout.

So this week, I’m changing that. I took 20 minutes to come up with a game plan, that in return will help save some money, and less food will go to waste. I wanted to share it with you, since I already did the work..work smarter not harder : )

So here I have all of our lunches and dinners planned for the week, and have made a corresponding grocery list with all the ingredients needed. I’ve also added a few other grocery items we eat often like snacks, beverages and breakfast items.

Lunches are pretty self explanatory and you can change them up how you like. For the dinners, I’ve listed the very simple and quick recipes below.

Monday – Brunch Bowl

Tuesday – Sweet Potato Nachos

Wednesday – Burgers, Sweet Potato Fries, & Cauliflower (similar recipe here)

Thursday – Zoodles

Friday – BLT Salad

Feel free to play around with these recipes. Sub ground beef for ground turkey, use shredded chicken from the crockpot, make vegetarian meals, etc. These recipes are meant to be healthy, simple, and most are allergy friendly.

If you like this idea of planning ahead, but aren’t digging my menu for the week, feel free to download and print off the above template here.

I hope this helps get you organized for the week, and takes a lot of the work and planning out of it for you. I know it can be challenging to stay on track with nutrition during these times, but I also know you can do it, and if you need help or have any questions, just let me know.

This is so helpful Katelyn! I’m going to use it for next week. I planned this week and this will be a big time saver for next. Thank you. Keep doing what you’re doing.
